After working on my strengths in SEO and internet marketing, I am looking for another web/internet professional project to further expand my career. Being self-motivated, able to multi-task and prioritise workloads while working on my own initiative, I am confident of my abilities offline as well as online. This latest project involves the design and implementation of the website www.webdesign-resources.org who’s aim is to provide an all-in-one directory containing web design articles, guides and links for webmasters and the general internet community.
This has been a hobby of mine for the last 4 months and I enjoy the challenge of creating a large, content-filled site that will interest and engage anyone passionate about the internet or it’s related technologies.

Real Estate industry
December 2009 – August 2010 (9 months)
This temporary position involved designing, building and managing the APYork company website around my normal administrative workload. The website was created with Dreamweaver using XHTML Transitional 1.0, CSS 2.0, Javascript, and PHP. Graphics and images were created and optimised using Adobe Photoshop.
The assignment also involved promoting the APYork website by implementing SEO techniques such as submitting real estate adverts and articles to related niche directories, blogging, reciprocal linking and viral marketing through social networks to increase brand awareness. Other ongoing operations included analysing consumer behavior and translating findings into effective planning strategies. Measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns was acheived by using tools such as Google Analytics. The evidential results and statistics were documented for weekly evaluation and review.
Off-line promotional material such as property flyers and advertisements were created to provide alternative forms of localised marketing and were distributed in and around the York area to target potential customers and once again maximise brand awareness.

Working for a successful stocktaking company providing office support as part of an NVQ level 3 in business administration.
Apart from my normal administrative duties, I was responsible for maintaining the company website and modifying pages as needed. Links and reciprocal links were sourced, added and updated to ensure a high page-ranking in SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages) and results analysed to ensure the company was reaching their target market. Pages were added and modifed as needed to keep content fresh and new, plus articles and other promotional material was created to submit to directories and similar link/keyword-rich websites. Other daily tasks included scheduling stocktakes, arranging initial meetings with new customers, advising prospective clients, controlling the telephone system, producing invoices and statements, faxing, photocopying and managing accounts receivable were required to be fulfilled.
